The adventure starts with Cub Scouting, a year-round family program designed for boys in the 1st through 5th grades, or 7 to 10 years of age. The program emphasizes shared leadership, learning about the community, family understanding, character development, citizenship training, and personal fitness.

Young boys grow up fast. Give your son a valuable gift by encouraging him to join Cub Scouting today. The time you invest in him today will make a difference in the person he becomes tomorrow.

December Pack Meeting

The meeting will be at the Riley Street Middle School Cafeteria at 7:00 PM on Dec 17.
We will be having a pack “Carnival Night”. This will help our 3rd grade Bears to earn their “Grin & Bear It Adventure loop. Each den will need to prepare a game or relay ahead of time that can be played safely indoors in the school cafeteria. Each den will rotate through the games or events prepared by each den so everyone will have a chance to try each den’s games at the Carnival. The Bear den may have a prize or trophy for the den that comes up with the best game to play on Carnival Night.

November Pack Meeting Thursday Nov 19 7:00 PM

We will have some fun inside this month working through some stations where we will have some fun challenges and practice some scout skills. I hope to see you all there.

It is time for us to re-charter the cub scout pack with the scout office for the upcoming 2016 calendar year. We will all need to re-new our membership to continue with the cub scout pack beyond December. Please come prepared with your registration money to the Nov pack meeting so we can get everything wrapped up and turned in on time. In order for your son to continue with the scout pack, we will need you to fill out the registration form that was e-mailed to parents indicating if you want Boy Life Magazine in the coming year and pay the registration fee to cover our yearly expenses to provide the scout program. This year we must charge $90.00 for each scout or $35.00 for Webelo II (5th grade) scouts that will soon be crossing over to the Boy Scout Troop in Feb. If you have sold popcorn this year, you can use the percentage of money that will go into your scout account to help pay for the registration fee. We will have the information available soon showing how much each scout has in their scout account for those who have sold popcorn to help raise money.

If parents need to bring their children along to the meeting the kids can play in the park while we talk through the calendar and firm up plans for the coming year.
